What is everyone hearing on Crowton? Whether Miles stays or goes, what about the "offensive genius?" Personally (Like most on here), I hope they get him out of BR as fast as humanly possible so he doesn't even have a chance to ruin Mett. I know it is very overstated, but LSU is loaded with talent and the players deserve more than to have an idiot like Crowton 1) not develop them at all and 2) continue to find ways to not utilize their potential with pathetic play calling.

I doubt Crowton will be back next year. Either Miles ushers him out, or Miles leaves for Michigan.

I personally think he resigns. Not re-signs...reZINES.

He called a great game last night and we ran some plays that we haven't seen before, but that in no way excuses how the offense performed for most of the year.

Maybe we can get rid of him but invite him back to call plays for the bowl game every year.

I think his problem is as QB coach more than as OC. Unfortunately for him it seems we don't want to hire someone else to handle just QB coach.

Most teams don't have QB coaches because of the limits put on the staff size by the NCAA. Most coaches have to have double duties.

I was somehow hoping last season, if nothing else, we relinquished QB coach from Crowton's duties and hire someone else to QB coach and something else or give another of the coaches double duty. I'd really like to have seen Crowton focus on OC, QB coach focus on coaches, and make the sacrifice elsewhere making another coach do double duty.

I think he showed what can happen with a functional QB. While I'm still more or less in favor of him finding something else I'm hoping that if he stays we saw what could be with decent QB play.
