Oregon situation is different in that they have QB that has had two years in the system this year and should be on track when LSU started a guy with one year in the system in the 2009 season. Lets change the example and see how Ole Miss does without Masoli since that situation is much more like LSU's in that Snead left early and they have a QB with one year in the system. And yes, and deviation from a plan is not good, but what is causing the 'situation'? $5 million, a tough obstacle to overcome. Anyway, I still do not fault Crowton.
You can read whatever you want to. Yes, you are right... that is what they teach.. run the option to the short side of the field. Only a retard does that. END OF STORY. Next Crowton is a genius because he tells the QB to take a knee on every play.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Sure you run every once in a while to the short side, but you don't run their the majority of the time nor even close to the majority of the time. It's LSU's equivalent of taking a knee. The play should be called OPTION SHORTSIDE KNEE. They do it 2-3 times a freaking game, complete waste of a play which is one of the many reason they LSU was near last in offense in the whole NCAA.
I think that you are really wasting a superior talent. You really need to apply for a college coaching job. You have a total understanding of the game and could make millions.:rolleye33:
College coach job hahah.... you guys are so stupid, any freaking couch potato that watches football can tell you not to run to the short side of the field. People in Louisiana must really be getting dumber if you think you have to be a great college coach to know not to run to the short side of the field. Anyone that has run the option will tell you or even watched the option on TV, you don't run the option the majority of the time to the short side of the field. This is the equivalent of telling someone not to drink out of the toilet bowl, nobody should have to tell Crowton this. It's basic option offense.
Thank you for taking the bait, just like I knew you would. You answered the one question I had for myself, and that was if you knew anything other than the same dribble you keep pointing out about running to the short side of the field. It's pretty easy for any "couch potato" to be a Monday morning analyst.
It's easy for anyone with two brain cells not to call a freaking option play to the short side of the field. Hey, if you think that is genius, well you should be more than happy with what you get. Sorry, that is dumb football. END OF STORY. It's taking a knee.
Sign 2 QB and red shirt one of them and develop the other. If can find a Jr. College transfer that can play - sign him to step in and R/S two freshmen and bring them along. It isn't a big deal - that is what college football is about. Maybe a QB camp for Louisiana QB might help, as it ain't like it use to be. We had a linebacker as a QB under Saban.
OU use to run to the short side out of the Bone and Nebraska did out of their set. You run to lanes set up by blocking - it doesn't matter what side you run to.
