LSU is one of the top 11 winning schools in history. One of the winningest schools in this century. Recruiting is good here, the facilities are top notch, the pay is top caliber, and it's in the top conference. Neither Nick nor Les has had any trouble getting a top name if he wanted one.
I'm honestly not trying to just stir the pot, but why do some of you act like it's not Miles' JOB to be involved with plays that are being called? Is it not his balls that are on the chopping block first when unsuccessful? Is it because he just doesn't really know the game as well as all of us here? Do we really think we know more than any college football coach out there?
I would like to confirm alot of rumors on some of your jobs. 60% of you should be laid off and 30% of you should be fired. The other 10% are the ones that are loyal and just pull for their team to do their best and dont speculate on peoples lives being thrown to turmoil and their kids and family have to deal with their parent rumors of being fired. As a kid growing up and having to hear all the so called experts up in the stands that know everything. Makes me sick to my stomach to see what has become of the lsu fanbase. Their are things i am upset about and concerned but to see all you speculating on this guy getting fired or that guy should go. WOW
We'll unless you are 10 years old the fans must have been the same when you were a kid as they are now. The only difference is now they have keyboards.
sure they are but overriding an OC much less one with the resume' of a GC is a bad sign for any football team. les is not mike leach. les was doing this late in his tenure at okie state as well. so nothing's changed.
I, too, grew up listening to fans in the stands who would insist they were far smarter than the coach. Over time, I learned to stand up to the idiots--quite effectively. But I feel badly for the kids of these coaches in this day and age who have their parents bashed even more publicly than anything I ever had to endure. This sort of nonsense is why my dad twice passed on chances to be on LSU's staffs (McClendon and Stovall), by the way. He wanted the job security, so that my mom and I didn't have to go through getting let go--back then, usually just when the HC was dismissed.
for one i think even if hes not calling the plays and just giving input he is taking time away from crowton doing his job... i understand he is the head coach and its his **** on the line but i also understand the view of a lot of lsu fans at this time because something is wrong with this team and after what fans went through with dinardo i can completely understand the frustration. we would all like to think that les is smart enough to do something about the dc position but to this point i'm just not sure that he'll make the change.
nick always had trouble getting the very top names because his ego is much too large to fit in the same state as anyone with half an ego at all. luckily the greater pay offsets some of that and someone good eventually sells his soul for a yr or two. how funny is it that zero of his MSU coaching staff boarded the plane with him for more than double the money. hard to fathom actually.
