I'm serious. I don't know - and I really don't remember who was available. Sure, Butch Davis might've been good - or great. But I don't think we would have known until this year either way. Would Butch have pulled the plug on everybody's favorite numbskull ex-QB? If he kept him, would it have made a difference? I'm still in CLM's corner. I think he knew the price we'd pay offensively - but I don't think he ever dreamed the D would crash and burn. Thing is, we'll never know. Let's see how CLM handles the next few months - and how the team plays next season. :geaux:
Oh, OK. Got it, thanks. I mean, he's been known as "dynamic" everywhere else he's been. Just didn't win enough games as a HC.
if you watched the game on tv then you saw miles with a big card in front of his face between plays quite a few times when the camera showed him. he was either calling the plays or discussing the plays with crowton but either way he was involved with the plays that were being called.
From what I remember, and it's been almost 9 years since I lived in the BR area, Songy wasn't really a guy who would bring up topics just to stir the pot. He does address some of the rumor mill stuff to be, in his words, "spicey", but doesn't really do it to get people going. He may have changed since then, but that's how I remember him. Am I wrong on this one?
unless taking a head gig or unhappy here. looked that way at times. now do people still think that bunch formation was jimbo fisher's creation in his last 2 years at LSU? this baby is les miles. I said so then and its clear to the blind now. looked that way.
Songy was one of the first if not the first to report that the team had quit on Dinardo. He was right. When Hunter was made interim coach the team showed their capabilities by drubbing Ar Kansas.
nope you're correct. buddy isnt half as smart as a finebaum and cant create his own controversy. plus hes emotional like a pregnant woman. and he just repeats stuff he hears from people who know and often eats a lot of crow when LSU is humbled.
Yes. LSU hit a wall as soon as Miles took over the playcalling. Do you honestly think Crowton would get that conservative? If it were up to him, he'd be like Urban Meyer - score until the time runs out. It's Les, who is a former offensive lineman, who sticks with the run and gets too conservative longer than he needs to.
Rumors are that Crowton is looking for a Head Coaching job. I wonder if he is interested in Mississippi State.
From LSU offensive coordinator to Miss. State head coach is a step down, imo. Maybe Clemson or something. EDIT: Well, Clemson named the interim coach the head coach, so not there.
