And if our offense was any better earlier in the year, in regards to running, it was probably before other teams had ample video evidence to study of our QB ineptitude.

Six months ago our projected QB lineup:

    1-Perrilloux
    2-Hatch
    3-Lee
    4-Jefferson

Even with Lee at QB, didn't we rack up almost 500 yards of offense against Georgia and almost 400 against Alabama?

I don't think Crowton is the problem.

I will agree with others here that if Miles starts taking over the OC job on game days and in the end frustrates and runs off Crowton, I will no longer be behind Miles. I'm still supporting Miles but if he doesn't go out and hire a qualified DC for next season, I'm afraid I can't stand behind him after that.

If this defense plays like this for another year, we will lose all sorts of recruits. I'm sure we will lose several this coming signing day.

Crowton is one of the best OC's in LSU's history. He has a phenominal play book and is great at play calling, IMO. He spreads the ball around and is typically very balanced. It is starting to smell like Dinardo if Buddy is right about the play calling and the Crowton frustration.

I'm very willing to give Miles some slack for this season because he coached very well last season and because even Saban lost 4 games after the championship season. Miles had a serious qb situation, lost his DC, and experimented with promoting from within for the DC job. Because of these situations I'm willing to cut him some slack, but if a similar pattern starts next season and he doesn't get a qualified DC and if he runs off Crowton, I will not be supporting him. I'm really nervous about the football program right now. My faith in Miles has been shaken, so lets see what he does.

I lived in Monroe during Crowton's heyday in Ruston and The News-Star docuemnted LaTech pretty well. I don't recall Tech ever seeing a bad offensive season with the likes of Jason Martin, Tim Rattay and Luke McCown at QB. Even after Crowton left, McCown carried the same scheme pretty well. It was a big reason why Tech was able to make many SEC teams like Miss State and 'Bama nervous on more than one occaision.

Now, I might question his play-calling from time to time, but his offense is sound, especially in the college ranks. He might be a little guilty of forcing a Q to do things that he's not ready to do, but I see a lot of open receivers that are getting missed which tells me the issue is not the scheme at all.
