I wouldn't say bringing back JF is stupid, but to me, it represents the same old way of doing things. Tom Herman would represent forward thinking.
Not sure who it was (may have been you), but a fan of a school where Crowton was OC warned us that he'd seem like a god-send at first, but by year 2 or 3, opposing DCs would figure out his offense and completely shut us down and that's exactly what happened. Being under Miles' thumb also didn't do him any favors.
You could apply that to any coach and make a case. But it was bc Les Miles took over with his shit show prevent offense. Not hard to see after 12 yrs even for the ones who defended him til the end.
