the only thing dwight howard has in common with shaq is that he sucks from the foul-line.

p.s. find me a picture of him dunking on Yao when he is in a Heat uniform.

you can't compare the two back when Yao was a rookie. Sure, Hakeem dominated Shaq, too when he was a young-gun.

Right now, today 10/10 GM's would pick Howard over Ming.. sorry bud

Hakeem was awesome and deserved to win those titles. There was only one Dream...

After game 1 in the 1995 finals the Houston Rockets doubled and tripled the young Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq had no help guarding the Dream. Correct me if i'm wrong but did Yao lead the Rockets to the NBA finals in any of his first few seasons in the league?

Here are those dominating stats you speak of from the 1994 finals.. Should I include the stats of Shaq's finals MVP years when he averaged 36 and 14 a game over the three year span?

    1995 NBA Finals Gm 1 Gm 2 Gm 3 Gm 4 Totals
    Hakeem Olajuwon 31 34 31 35 32.8 ppg
    Shaquille O'Neal 26 33 28 25 28.0 ppg

you're pretty much a tool, because I am again not comparing Yao to Shaq in terms of career. I am comparing them now.

I know for a fact Shaq has the better career.

Do you really think DWade would rather play with Yao Ming over Shaq in the playoffs? Even the current old Shaq????

Do you really think TMac would rather play with Yao Ming over Shaq in the playoffs? Even the current old Shaq????

Do you really think any GM would pick Yao Ming over Dwight Howard tomorrow if they had their choice between the two?

I think Wade would rather Yao, yes I do.

I think T-Mac would rather Shaq, only because they are buddies.

And I think GMs would take Howard if they had a year or two to spare, because he is younger, but Yao is better now.

I can pull up head-to-head Orlando and Houston matchups if you want, too.

This thread is about the Celtics.....so please refrain from the senseless bickering over Clair and his manlove for TMac.

this is a very short term solution for the keltics. all three of the so called superstars are over 30 and are on the downside of their careers.

I love the trade for Boston. I'd have rather seen KG in a Suns jersey, but there was no way they were giving up Stoudamire.

The 3 stars are all in their 30s or close to (Pierce is 29), but they are all hungry for a title and have the veteran leadership to lead them there. I don't see them beating a Spurs team from last year, but they could definitely make it to the Finals, barring injury.
