My wife is from Nebraska and I chat with my in-laws a fair amount about Nebraska football. Nebraska is a hard place to build a winning program. 99%+ of Nebraska is made up of small farm towns with 500-1000 people in each. Nebraska needs to not only pull in any instate kid with talent, but they absolutely must have someone that can recruit blue chippers from all of the surrounding states. Most of the talent Pelini inherited was from Bill Callahan, who could recruit but also couldn't pull it all together. Its hard convincing kids from other states to go to a state where their tourism slogan is literally: The portal will help them with the right coach if they can convince kids they'll get playing time and exposure for NFL draft reels. Frost is too far gone now and will probably be fired within the next few weeks. Curious who they will get.
