Great game, Baylor v Ok State. Ended with an unsuccessful 4th and goal at the 1 foot line. Baylor wins. Question though. Both teams out of time outs. Baylor's defense is confused with 4th and goal at the 2 yard line and calls a time out (which they didn't have). The refs huddle and restart the play clock. I thought there was a rule about this and Baylor should have been penalized for delay of game but no flag. This would have made the 4th down play much closer.
I just watched Baylor hang on to win the Big12 title. Although i believe that Kelly is a solid hire for LSU, I have to wonder if we missed by not going hard after Aranda. Only time will tell.
That last play wasnt a good decision by ball carrier. Instead of leaping for pilon, should have just leaned in with momentum. Looked like he outweighed DB by 20-30lbs.
I was thinking the exact same thing. If he had turned towards the goal line sooner and dropped his shoulder he should have ben able to drive the DB backwards for the 1 yard.
