Maybe, but Smart has his ream in striking distance every year. 3 SEC East Titles in 5 seasons & never ran his program into a brick wall. Are these Georgia fans just very young?
His offense did jack shit to keep the ball though. He got stop after stop but his offense had like 3 first downs in the final 27 minutes of the game. He did give a lot of cushion on zone calls, but he did send some aggressive blitzes and plays man. He’s the beat candidate I’ve seen.
They’re not old but not young. They were kids last time Georgia won it in 1980. Their theory is that Kirby survives on talent alone. His roster is stacked with 4 straight Top 3 recruiting classes (including 2 #1 classes) and he can’t win the big games. That he won’t modernize the offense and they are pissed off about how he handled the QB situation a few years ago. They remind me a lot of LSU fans circa 2013 - 2015
