Those are in a real sport. USC claims 11 football titles (1928, 1931, 1932, 1939, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1974, 1978, 2003, 2004) and we all know the 2003 title is bogus. Washington and Colorado each have a split title. SEC Football titles LSU - 3 (we could claim the 1908 title but we are not Alabama) Florida - 3 Auburn - 1 Georgia -1 Tennessee -1 Alabama -1143 (14 or 15 are legit. USC has 11 baseball titles and Stanford and Oregon State 2 each LSU has 6 and Vanderbilt has 1 SEC Basketball - Kentucky - 8 Arkansas - 1 UCLA has 11 So if we acknowledge that football is the king of sports and a football championship is worth 10 points, Basketball and baseball titles are worth 7 points. Minor sports like track and field and golf would be worth 3 points and all those sports that nobody cares about except the players and their families are worth 1 point. Non sports like gymnastics are worth nothing. Softball is worth less than nothing tiga. LSU has a boxing National Championship in 1949. Boxing is the manliest of sports so it's worth 20 points. If there were NCAA Stock Car Racing the SEC would totally dominate.
in your imaginary world these are the facts NCAA Championships by conference PAC..... 500 Big 10..... 306 SEC ..... 220 ACC ..... 120 Big 12 ..... 57 NCAA Championships by school Stanford,.. 113 UCLA,.. 113 USC,.. 104 Okie State,.. 51 Penn State,.. 49 Texas,.. 45 Arkansas,.. 44 LSU,.. 43 N Carolina,.. 43 Michigan,.. 36 California,.. 36 Florida,.. 34 Oregon,.. 33 Denver?,.. 32 Ohio State,.. 30 Maryland,.. 29 Georgia,.. 29 Oklahoma,.. 29 Wisconsin,.. 28 Yale,.. 28
Now break that down by real sports. The Ivy League has as many or more football championships as anybody. Princeton has more than Alabama. Deduct 5 points for any water polo title where a player drowned.. And throw out all the surfing titles by USC and UCLA. They had the home surf advantage in all of their games.
add 100 pts for track titles, deduct 75 pts for obnoxious coaches, if the schools name starts with an O then multiply by seven,.. just because I say so. C'mon personal opinions don't count,.. Official NCAA sports are just that.
I'll go along with the track titles since LSU has about 27 or 28 and Tennessee and R Kansas and Texas A&M since they joined the SEC have a shitload of them. Track is OK. Field is kind of boring to watch. I like to watch the pole danc, uh vaulters but it takes so long between vaults. LSU 40. Oregon 27
