I would be fine with 24-0 and rest our starters... I dont care about a blowout. I just want no one hurt, and rest up for the big showdown with Auburn. I think all of us just want this game to be over with, with no injuries. I hope LSU fans there understand that this will be a plain vanilla lets get this over with game and not expect some air raid show.
Indeed. Perhaps stretch the passing game and get some fine receivers involved while easing up on the ground-pounding and let all those bruises heal before Auburn.
I have been hearing we will not see as much rest for the starters as we would expect minus a few guys here and there. The team feels they need to make sure to stay in rhythm and can't afford another La Tech game like last year. Puts some cushion on and then that will change but I expect most of the starters to stay in for most of the 1st half and half of the 3rd.
Honestly I wouldn't mind this at all. keep everything on track. keep our rhythm and then play the young guys.
Just keep working it. Plenty to improve on with what's been working last couple of weeks. If the deep ball is there, use it. I just dont want to see either QB loose any of the mojo that seems to be coming together by throwing unneeded INT's. Great opportunity this weekend to build confidence at the right moment.
I want to see them work on the passing game. At the start of the second half or when the game gets out of hand, let the backups get quality reps. I want to see them run plays as if it was the first quarter and the outcome was still in question. I would love to see T.C. McCartney throw a TD pass late in the game.
I've got Comcast, and the guide has it on Fox Sports South. Just checked tvguide.com and msn.foxsports.com/tv/schedule, as well, and they both say the same.
