My aforementioned 10-year-old daugther was just 14 months old when the Bluegrass Miracle transpired. I awoke her from her bedroom at the back of the house all the way from the front. (She awoke screaming.)

The next year, when she was two, I awoke her again when Skyler Green caught the winning TD against UGA (My daugther born a year and a half later is named Skylar, after my favorite Tiger @ the time.)

These were all character-building experiences for her, however, as she now cheers as loudly as I do for the Tigers.

I was watching the game with a group of people in Texas....when we kicked the field goal I gave every BAMA fan a huge kiss on the face, then me & two other LSU fans went down to the apartment complex pool & did a victory cannon ball! It was awesome, very very cold, but awesome! Cops came & made us get out! We didn't even care, walked around yelling GEAUX TIGERS all evening!

If your name is any indication of gender, this board requires pictures of aforementioned "cannonballs" into apartment pools.

I was out in the country at the Pecan Festival. I was at a buddy's house. I've told the story before of how when I was growing up as teen almost 20 years ago, young black kids (in north La. at least) didn't tend to be LSU fans. No hate, just not genuine love. I grew up an FSU fan. Now it's reversed. I still like FSU, but being at the 97 Florida game as a college sophomore from across town converted me completely. Anyway...at my buddy's house, it was he and I, another adult, and about 10 kids around 15-17 years of age. All of those kids were avid LSU fans. AVID. It was lovely to watch.

When we thought Ford scored the touchdown those kids went nuts. I had started going nuts, but froze to watch the genuine joy on their faces. When we realized he stepped out, and we ran a couple more plays, my buddy's 17 year old screamed out "JUST KICK THE FUGGIN FIELD GOAL!" My buddy said, "BOY IF THIS WASN'T THE LSU GAME I'D KICK YOUR TEETH IN!"

    ***OFF TOPIC***
His 17 year old is crazy talented and smart, and would be getting recruited if he didn't play for an 0-10 team at Grant. He's the only kid to consistently beat Jalen Richard head-to-head in track the past few years. 6-1 190 with 4.4 speed, a 3.7 GPA and a 24 ACT in a college prep curriculum. He's leaning towards friggin McNeese to play in the secondary. I've tried talking him into a JUCO for one year but he's convinced JUCO's are for kids with bad grades. I told him he's so much better than McNeese and a JUCO will get him noticed. But I think he's settled on going to McNeese, playing football, and concentrating on his education. Not a bad thing, but still, he's much better than McNeese...
