I was in an empty bar in Louisville when Ford ran down the sidelines for the apparent game winning TD. I jumped off my bar stool to high-five an LSU fan sitting at a table behind me. He (15 years younger and about 100 pounds lighter than me) passed on the high five and bear hugged me, picked me up off the ground, and started jumping up and down (screaming the whole time). By the time it was over, I think he threw me up in the air 5 or 6 times, knocking over almost an entire row of bar stools. His girlfriend, and the bartender watched in amazement, and horror. Of course, I then had to tell him Ford stepped out of bounds. If someone had been taping it, I guarantee it would be the most watched videos on youtube today. It had to look hilarious.
When the winning FG went thru the uprights, I cautiously approached him for that high five. This time he accepted it.
Anyone else have a Bammer beating celebration story?

Sitting with a fever in my living room trying to be quiet so I didn't wake up the roommates girlfriend, when the Bama FG was missed, my LSU hat was thrown up in the air (landed on the ceiling fan) I was screaming EFF YES EFF YES EFF YES with a very hoarse voice.

Updated facebook about how awesome it was and proceeded to calmly watch Ford run up the sideline for a td (to which another round of EFF YES came out).

By time the field goal went up and good all I had left was one loud EFF YES. Could not sleep for another 4 hours, pent up nervous energy.

When the bama fg was missed in ot I started my "can tappy come out and play?" thread and just waited before I hit 'submit new thread'. My finger was on the button when Ford ran in and I almost pressed it but didn't.

But then ole tappy came back and ate his crow without a single excuse. I just knew he was gonna be another laduckfan or that WVU fan and disappear forever, but I was wrong.

Right after the fg, I clicked 'submit' then jumped off my couch and started screaming "wooo-hooo & YEAHHH". The funny thing was that my three year old daughter mocked me movement for movement, word for word the entire time. (wife works nights)

I was actually pretty calm and quiet for the majority of the game, except for getting excited by the Claiborne interception (screaming for him to score), or the two times Richardson was left unguarded coming out of the backfield on those long pass plays. And the time Hatcher whiffed on tackling the receiver allowing Bama to get a first down.

Then I got really excited knowing that the Bama kicker was not going to make the FG in OT.

Then when the field goal went into the endzone, at this point I am pacing back and forth the entire time we were inside the 10 yard line in OT, I screamed "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH" as loud as I may have ever done in my entire life. And repeated it a couple of more times. And then a "Phuck you Saban" for good measure.

I swear in just that little bit of screaming after the kick went through, I lost part of my voice. That's how loud I screamed.

Penn, this is a great thread, I could read stories like this all night. I hope more members contribute.

Vamp, I was up until 4 am, I had this forum open in one tab, facebook in another, and of course Tidefan and bamanation in others. I surfed and watched sportscenter all night. :)

Nice, yeah I was on here a lot (reading all the updates, hadn't registered yet) and talking to friends. I finally downed 2 doses of nyquil and fell asleep.

My wife was sitting with me watching the game -- I started jumping up and down and hooting and hollering like a 10 year old (I am a 50 year old man) when I thought Ford had the TD. My wife just looked at me and laughed, as she knows what to expect when I watch my Tigers. It was sort of anti-climactic given the game-winning FG 3 plays later.

I posted this before. My seven year old boy and I were jumping up and down, hand in hand, as I screamed we kicked their arse, we kicked their arse! My boy was yelling" yea daddy we kicked their arse, we kicked their big red arse!". I didn't realize how it was going down. My wife sat in her chair with her hands on her head in disgust and disbelief. She let me know all about it in the morning.
What was I to do? I was leading the charge and being a bad roll model. My only retort was " atleast he's a tiger fan".

A good friend of mine had a party at his house with about 20 LSU faithful. We had chicken and sausage gumbo, red beans and rice, and crawfish cornbread. It was a nice cajun spread. I killed 3/4 of a bottle of whiskey just to cope with the game, and I was hammered by the 4th quarter.

When Ford got around the edge we all held on and the room fell silent..........then when he crossed the goal line we all came completely unglued! The celebration calmed down once we saw he went out of bounds, but we knew we just needed a chip shot to take it after that. The celebration for the game winning field goal was just as raucus. Everyone was high fiving, hugging, and screaming PHUCK YEAHH!!! What a great win and great moment.
