    Hi Guys

I hope some or at least one of you remembers my posts on here earlier this year about my trip with a mate to the LSU vs Kentucky game.

Anyway quick question, what time do tickets usually get released to the general public? The reason I ask is my English mate who now lives in Houston (having moved from NO recently), has a friend who lives in BR, and I was told months and months ago that the BR native would hook us up with a pair of tickets for the game.

The only problem is since sending him an email to say thanks, and ask a few questions, I've not heard anything, that was about 5 months ago. Now I'm hoping this is because the tickets don't get released until a lot nearer the time, could that be the case or not?

I don't want to hassle the guy and chase up whether he has actually got us tickets to the game on Oct 1st, until I know tickets are actually available to the general public/locals.

Cheers for any help on this.

Also lets just say he lets us down and doesn't come up with the goods, me and my mate refuse to miss our first ever college game, our first ever trip to Tiger Stadium etc, so what do u think the chances would be to getting a pair of legit tickets on the day when taking in the sights when tailgating before the game???

Thanks again for any help guys, its much appreciated.

The only game for sale right now is Miss State.

If there are single game tickets for Kentucky are available, and there is a good chance they will not, then the ticket office will send out an announcement. You can sign up with the ticket office announcements here:
Sign Up for Geaux-Mail from the LSU Ticket Office - LSUsports.net - The Official Web Site of LSU Tigers Athletics

I can say with 100% certainty that you will have no problems finding a pair of tickets on gameday. Most likely better seats then you could get through the ticket office.

No issue bro... Just show up to TS before game time and look around. Tons of people holding their hands up with tickets for sale... some have good seats, some don't... But getting a ticket is not a hassle at all.

Just a couple of tips or statements of the obvious:

    1. View the staduim seating chart to understand where the tickets are located. I hate the upper deck, 600s, but you are at least in the game.
Tiger Stadium Seating Chart - LSUsports.net - The Official Web Site of LSU Tigers Athletics

    2. Bring cash for the ticket. The face value of the ticket is about $35, but you might pay upwards to $250, normal would be around $100.

    3. Check on Kentucky's website for away tickets, I would not guess that they travel the best.

    4. Ebay, be sure not to buy Western Kentucky tickets and make sure that they will ship to you.

    5. Getting tickets the day of the game is possible.

you might want to preface that with "some" women. i'd say more of the wine and cheese men dont like to get rained on than the die-hard fan women.

If this forum is anything to go by, we are going to have a great time on game day at Tiger Stadium. Thanks for the quick and many replies to my post, sounds like we don't have to worry too much yet about not hearing anything from our 'ticket' man in BR. Any idea when the Kentucky tickets are liking to go on sale?

Also good to know that if he lets us down (which I hope he won't naturally but I dont know the guy at all) then we still will get to experience the tailgate and game in all its glory come October 1st, as we should be able to scalp a pair of tickets on the day. Not too fussed about where in the stadium we are, but will take a copy of the seating plan with us just in case we need to get a pair on the day.

Also fingers crossed that the game isn't an early one cos of TV, would love it to be a infamous LSU night game at Death Valley with a full days drinking and eating at the tailgate, but I'm guessing the chances aren't great due to the SEC TV commitements.

This is still the main highlight for me and my mate, I'm looking forward to it even more than our trip to Yankee Stadium to see Yankees vs Red Sox and even the NFL game we are going to the week before in Philly.

Thanks again guys for taking the time to be so helpful/friendly, can't wait to 'get involved' with the locals on Oct 1st, not sure whether I'm looking forward to the tailgate or game more? Either way, hoping the day itself is epic!

Tickets are alway available outside the stadium from scalpers. Very expensive for a few top games, but Kentucky should be reasonable, probably face value.
