I guess that means you like it pretty much,.. Is it just an endless series, or will there be a conclusion?
Its a very good series IMO. Less characters to focus on. Gets in deep on the Uhtred. Very emotional TBH in season 3.
https://www.amazon.com/Last-Kingdom-Saxon-Chronicles/dp/0060887184 Very well written as well. The 2nd and 3rd season are very strong IMO. As far as just a unique story in which the writer really makes you care, the best I can compare this series to is: The Children of Húrin by Tolkien. Not sure if you read that one. It was never truly finished as I believe Tolkien's son put it together and it is kind of short, but it is the last book that I remember reading, aside from this series, that leaves an emotional mark. (I am not talking about tears or anything LOL)
I heard something like that about the son,.. I should read it. I like watching european middle ages stuff. LOTR is my all time favorite, books and movies. I got caught reading it during algebra class in high school, the bitch confiscated my book, she wouldn't give it back until I caught up on all my back homework. I worked like hell over the weekend and turned in 9 assignments, was just dying to find out how Frodo would escape the orc guard tower
I had a lot of trouble with algebra in high school. One weekend before the final exam I studied for 24 hours. Studied so hard I almost turned Asian.
The Children of Hurin is REALLY good. It was also partially mentioned in The Silmarillion by Tolkien which was an backdrop of the world he created. Good stuff, but kind of hard to follow at times.
I read a lot of the Silmarillion when it came out,.. I don't remember, Children of Hurin,.. now you've made me wanna read it
