I see on the map that Station Sports bar, Sporting News Grill, and TJ Ribs are near my hotel. Any of these places decent for later in the evening?
TJ Ribs is an institution. Sometimes they have Billy Cannon's Heisman on display and although it can get crazy crowded, I have always had a good time there. My bars are the old bars. Georges, The Chimes, Phil Brady's, Thirsty Tiger (downtown)...I am better with New Orleans taverns so if you are staying here-shoot me a message.
Again, The Chimes is nostalgic for me. I'm kind of shy, too, so I wouldn't be an out-of-towner who would just walk up to tailgaters and start talking (which would culminate in being invited to have some food.)

I'd really like to hang in a bar, and walk thru the tailgates before the game, depending on when businesses open in Baton Rouge on gamedays.
Don't forget to go by and see Mike the Tiger. Habitat is directly across from the North End of the Stadium.
