I think we will see a "shortish" leash for Ross tonight.

Look for him to give us between 3 and 6 innings (depending on how well he is pitching) with Bradshaw bridging the gap to Bertuccini closing. I think that is the winning formula for tonight.

It will be interesting to see if Ott comes in to try and get out the last out or two, if the situation arises.

    What say you?

Yes, no reason to leave a pitcher in if he's struggling with the bullpen still loaded. If a pitcher struggles and only pitches an inning or two he would still be available for relief duty tomorrow. Hopefully tomorrow will be celebration day, my heart wont survive a 3 game series of games like last night.

Ross starting is how I see it. If we are in a tight one with the possibility to win, you could be right with the rest of the line up.

I'm expecting a solid game from Ross. It is the right call to let Anthony rest another day, but hopefully we won't need him at all. Let's take this thing home Tigers! :geauxtige

When Ross is good, he can be really, really good.

I guess the good thing is he throws his fastball down in the zone (usually), which was totally unlike Louis last night, who was teeing up batting practice when throwing the cheese.

I think he will treat the game like a closer almost and try to leave it all on the mound in 3-4 solid innings.

its all about ross getting run support. he has been pretty solid, but in his starts has had little support from the hitters. i think we win running away tonight.

guy got 6 wins with a 5.07 ERA.

So someone must be scoring for him.

I would guess that the only pitcher unavailable to us tonight is Ott. Coleman's pitch count seemed a little low when he left; maybe he might even have an inning in him (in the most extreme circumstances)?

It was close to 100. I can't see him throwing again this series except for the 9th inning tomorrow.
