Our coordinators had no prior coordinating experience so are getting on-the-job training. I really think they may turn out to be really good picks. The question is how quickly can they come up to speed?
Not having 3 of our top OL players is significant. When we get them back the OL will be better (yea, far from great, but maybe adequate). Getting significant playing time for some backups who never had seen the field before may prove beneficial later in the year.
Scott Long wrote that we had 3 of our OL starters out. LSU was without three starters — LG Chasen Hines LT Cam Wire and RT Austin Deculu
Maybe O ran more last night to get 4 replacements ready don't know if that's the case but we sure ran way too much last night. Hope that's the reason.
