Just an FYI, I didn't see this here: The Blue Screen - NY Daily News *** TE Eric Butler (Mississippi State) and G Carnell Stewart (LSU) both failed their physicals today and their contracts were terminated. So the Giants now have 76 players under contract and seven unsigned draft picks.
That's too bad for CS. I wonder what the physical is for an offensive guard in the NFL? I have always thought a failed physical meant some sort of injury that prevented a particular range of motion, or something of that nature. I suppose there are a myriad number of reasons why you could fail. Does anyone know the parameters for the NFL or a particular team? I suppose it's not completely standardized. Perhaps it's different for each position and each team.
interesting question for me since i always thought it was the a standard test for all regarding physical ability/disabilities. i.e., i always assumed an injury that would disable a person regardless position.
Couldn't find a list or anything but this article about the physcial at the combine had some good info anyway. ESPN.com - Physical exam most dreaded part of combine You have to figure that in 3 or 4 hours, most doctors could find a number of things. Amazing more don't fail.
