Jarrick Williams (S) 6'2" / 210 pounds / Blount High School / Alabama Contenders: Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia The last time I checked the FVSports 100, the guys that had scholarship offers from LSU at the time were ranked: QB Jake Heaps--Sammamish, WA --FVSports 100 (#50): Contenders: BYU, California, Notre Dame, Stanford, UCLA, Washington, Washington State RB Lache Seastrunk--Temple, TX --FVSports 100 (#3): Probably the most electric HS tailback since Reggie Bush. Definition of a home-run hitter, Seastrunk's suddenness is unmatched. Has tremendous initial acceleration, change of direction, and that final gear that very few humans have. Personal best of 10.37 100m, should get that down into the 10.2s before he finishes high school. Compliments his speed with good lateral vision, and is pretty slippery on first contact. Long-jumping 20-9 in middle school, Seastrunk has tremendous leg strength, agility, and body control. Has shown flashes coming out of the backfield and should develop into a dangerous receiving threat. Not a workhorse back, Seastrunk will have to adjust from the Wing-T and show consistency running between the C gaps. Probably a better fit in a zone blocking scheme going forward. Special talent who has one of the highest ceilings of any player in this class. Contenders: LSU, Texas, USC TE C.J. Fiedorowicz--Johnsburg, IL --FVSports 100 (#37): Contenders: Notre Dame, Illinois, Iowa, LSU, USC WR Jeremy Richardson--Springville, AL --FVSports 100 (#33): Contenders: Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee DE Jackson Jeffcoat--Plano, TX --FVSports 100 (#1): Nation's top junior prospect. Son of former ASU Sun Devils and Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Jim Jeffcoat, Jackson is blessed with his father's physical attributes and has an advanced feel for the game. As a sophomore, Jeffcoat was named All-State 5A, something that's extremely rare given the priority to upperclassmen in the state's highest classification. Has been clocked at 4.50 flat and even touched under 4.5. Shuts down passing lanes with his combination of height and plus wingspan. Disciplined and well-coached, uses his hands like an NFL-vet. Overall technique is on the same level as Devon Kennard. Doesn't appear to have Kennard's explosion off the ball, but Jeffcoat actually plays in a read-and-react defense. One could argue Jeffcoat's frame and straight-line speed gives him a higher ceiling than Kennard. Could have been the #2 prospect in the 2009 class after [QB Matt] Barkley. Also the top basketball player in the Dallas Metroplex right now, Jeffcoat may pull a Julius Peppers and go dual-sport in college. Contenders: Texas, Oklahoma, USC DE Craig Sanders--Ariton, AL --FVSports 100 (#63): Contenders: Alabama, Florida, Auburn, Florida State, LSU DE Reggie Wilson--Haltom City, TX --FVSports 100 (#11): Violent player with a lot of potential. Physically, Wilson has a great speed/strength ratio for his build, and a pretty good motor. Possesses that rare explosion off the ball that garners offers from everyone. Understands angles and how to move on the field despite just picking up football a few years ago. His style of play makes it very difficult for offensive linemen to cut him, and he does a pretty good job of disengaging. Has plus closing speed, makes it look like the quarterback is wearing a magnet on film. Hasn't played football for very long, so he's still raw in terms of his techniques and consistency. Wilson has one of the higher ceilings of anyone in this class. Contenders: Texas, Oklahoma, LSU LB/DE Justin Maclin--Memphis, TN --FVSports 100 (#11): Maclin is also under the radar in terms of hype, but won't be for very long. Physically, Maclin is one of the most impressive players in this class. With a strong basketball background, Maclin is fast, long, and versatile. A developing nightmare off the edge, Maclin also has the athleticism to turn his hips and drop back into coverage. Length and vertical takes away a throwing lane. Still raw and like many basketball players, needs to work on his first step and short-area explosion. Maclin is a wiry athlete who has upside as both a Sam backer in a 4-3 and edge rusher in a 3-4. Not nearly as polished as a Jamel Turner, but probably has the highest ceiling of any linebacker in this class, reminiscent of Rosevelt Colvin in college. Contenders: LSU, Tennessee, Texas Tech, USC LB/S Alec Ogletree--Newnan, GA --FVSports 100 (#17): Physically imposing athlete, the question is, is he done growing? Probably, and considering Ogletree has really good instincts for his age, it may allow him to stay at safety despite his size. If so, value goes even higher. Definition of a big hitter, but also has plus ball skills. Will be able to turn and run with most wideouts, and has the height to match up with tight ends. Sees the field well and makes quick decisions. Also excels on special teams, has blocked several kicks this year alone. Needs to pick and choose when to go for the kill shot, as it leads to missed tackles. Will have a short learning curve at the next level, should play immediately and become a feared player. Contenders: Georgia, Miami, Auburn, Clemson, Florida State, LSU CB Adrian White--DeSoto, TX --FVSports 100 (#61): Contenders: Texas, Oklahoma, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Stanford, Texas A&M http://www.tigerforums.com/showthread.php?t=81779&page=4
