Montgomery needs to play. LSU is in dire need of a pass rusher. Personally, I think Pep should get way less PT. He will be a SR though, so we know how that goes. I think Agahayere and Downs show promise but still have a lot of work to do. The DL must improve a lot for LSU to improve as a D. The tackling is something that much be a major focus as well.

Watch out for Pep moving to DT and I am not sure if that would change any plans of keeping Brockers at DE.

I think the starting and 1st rotation DL will be:

    RE: Sam Montgomery, Michael Brockers
    DT: Pep Livingston, Josh Downs
DT: Drake Nevis (Lock), Chris Davenport
LE: Chancey Aghayere (Lock), Lavar Edwards

Dont understand why would the move Edwards to DT, when he was a bright spot at DE. I also considered Chancey and Brockers being the same kind of DE.

You are right. I went by the roster update on lsusports.net where he is listed as a DT but he did nice in his rotation at DE this year. I think Clement will play TE so I will replace him but Edwards will be 2nd on the depth chart somewhere and he can play DT as well at his size.

My best Friend is the Coach at Chavez High School (Coach Deanda), I watched Brockers play several times, that kid is a monster at 6'6"

Regardless, the lines on both side of the ball need Improvements. I know several sacks on JJ were due to him holding on to the ball too long but our un-successful running game was due to our O-Line just not getting the push up front and what we are used to seeing in the past.

On the defensive side, we got NO penetration with our pass rush but did however do a decent job of clogging the holes to stop the run.

Our defense made a lot mistakes but the majority of our work this offseason needs to be the focus of how the hell we can move the football offensively and getting back to blowing out opponents for ALL 4 Quarters, rather than playing down to them.

Geauxtigers45, now that we have solved our D-line problems are you going to start a thread on the O-Line so we can solve that before Spring training starts?

I like this lineup. Though I wouldn't mind sliding Brockers inside on passing situations and bring in Edwards as well. Similar to the Giants DL when they slide Justin Tuck to DT in passing situations.
