Of course. I said clearly that I think Obama wanted the sequester. The GOP cuts were unpalatable to Democrats, tax increases were unpalatable to Republicans and another gridlock was out of the question. So he made great political theatre that the sequester was terrible but we are forced into it. So now we move on. The sky will not fall. Congress still looks bad. Obama looks rosy.
I don't know why you would think that. He said the cuts would be an economic catastrophe. He pushed for them to be repealed and replaced with tax increases. He made it very clear he did not want them. I wonder why he signed them? You mean the cuts that were passed by the Democratic Senate and signed by the Democratic President? Why were they passed and signed if they were unpalatable? What are you talking about? What we got was an exact gridlock. The sequestration cuts that Obama didn't want are being carried out. Partisan gridlock saved us all from more taxes. Three cheers for partisan gridlock. The only effective measures are government ever takes are the ones when they don't do anything. That is certainly the narrative painted by most of the media. An objective observer, like me, would say that is all bullshit.
