Kinda surprised..he just picked up the # 3 dual threat QB in the nation Taji Boyd guess may second guess that commitment. Also I wonder is he still going to be getting that big paycheck yearly since he just signed that extension

CPF sounded like a beaten man after Tennessee's loss this past weekend. Based on that, I'm not really surpised that he's decided to step down.

He's financially secure, has a great history at Tennessee, and will probably remain a big part of the football picture there - so why take the crap and heartache?

I don't think he had a choice, it was decided for him.

You're probably right - but no tears. It's not like when a regular working stiff loses his job. He'll never have to work again if he so chooses....
so I don't see coaching changes as small tragedies.

Who will they find to replace CPF? Any good ones available?

Maybe he's hired Jimmy Sexton as his agent and he's trying to bait Tennessee into paying him more money. :hihi:

I certainly hope so. That's been my master plan since the UF game...for Phil to go away, leaving Chavis jobless.

Wonder if we can get any of their top current commitments. I know we got FB Dominque Allen from them but wouldn't mind LBs Marlon Walls or Jerod Askew.
