My dream game for our season has always been what would happen if a fully rested and injury free LSU football team got to play in the BCS National Championship game. We now might get to have that game against Big Ten darling Ohio State. This be a game for the ages. With all the distractions and injuries we have endured we just might get to play this game and see how really good we believe our Tigers are. Poor Lloyd Carr, do you think he will be pulling for Michigan Man Les or those hated Ohio State Buckeyes? Go Tigers Baby!!! :thumb: :helmet::crystal::helmet:
If we could get most of our guys healed up and ready to play that would be awesome. I imagine we'd play less like the meat of the season and more like the start of the season.
I haven't perused all the posts on the board so sorry if already answered somewhere, but - did Drake Nevis play last night? Is he hurt? - any details on extent of injuries to K Williams and Doucet? - any real info on Flynn?
Call me stupid, but I'm comfortable with RP if we have to play a big game with him. The dude is good and he's only going to get better. I hope Matt can postpone surgery till after the big game, if it is needed at all. I know he'd love to play in the big game. Without KW, we'll just have to get by with Hester, Scott, Murphy and Holliday. I can live with that. I'd prefer to have Keiland, but we'll show up without him and give a good account. Losing Doucet would be a blow, but not as bad a blow as losing him early in the year was. The young guys are battle tested and they've matured. Byrd is money, and LaFell and Tolliver will do just fine. The break should help Dorsey the most, and Beckwith next most. Maybe Steltz. Good thread, as this is important to how good this team can play.
That's exactly what I've been saying all year ... if this talented team could just manage to get to the game on Jan 7th ..... :geaux:
I don't remember hearing any more about it after he left the field last night (following his interception). Did Derry Beckwith re-injure his bum knee?
Problem I see... LSU gets to the title game, kills their opponent, then are called "not the true champion" because they didn't play the right team... sound familiar?
