sorry jimbo. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State's sports teams will be on self-imposed probation for two years and some will lose scholarships because of an academic cheating scandal, the university said in a report released Thursday. About 60 student-athletes have lost or will suffer some loss of eligibility. Two staffers, a tutor and learning specialist, already had been fired. No additional dismissals were listed in the investigatory report. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jGHhKZ64A3O8X_ghgQXrWHHbXUiwD8UQ92OO1 The report has been sent to the NCAA, which can still conduct its own investigation and impose additional penalties.
credit? every school does it when they f up. they just did it so they wouldnt get lack of institutional control, which is apparently going on.
Could Mr. Bobby Bowden please report to the principals office, Bobby Bowden please... P) Sit down, have a cigar! BB) Nice watch
But Mr. Principal...all we did was fudge a little on a freakin test- it's not like I GAVE ANY PLAYERS' PARENTS A HOUSE!!
I wonder to what extent this "probation" was discussed during the recruiting weekends? I haven't seen any statement as to how severe the probation will be, could be just an attempt to influence the NCAA by saying the appropriate words.
