My point was that Oregon's prior rankings, just like LSU's prior rankings mean nothing this year. To keep bringing up that stat was just chit talking on his part, and I called him on it. Nothing more, nothing less.
Last year's rankings mean nothing. This is a new season. The ducks are ranked highly this year as are the tigers. All the talk of last year, or any time in the past, is completely irrelevant to this year. I have no doubt that the ducks deserve the respect that they are getting but I can't for the life of me see how they can honestly compare their accomplishments to that of LSU's. Their claim of the PAC pansies being such a strong conference that is just barely behind the sec is absurd. If a PAC team had to play fl, ala, aurburn , ole piss, pississippi state , the hogs and even vandy in one season there wouldn't be many starters left playing by year's end. I know this upcoming game will be hard to win. If the ducks win in jerryworld they will deserve the win. Anytime a team beats the tigers they have accomplished a feat that few can take credit for. It is beyond stupid to brag about the ducks great storied past when facing a team who's history has shown that we've been there, done that and then came back and did it again better than before. The ducks have been there once and failed on national tv, miserably.
If SEC officials would have called a decent game in Auburn, LSU would be undefeated and beat Oregon in the NC.
