The Auburn/Bama game will be played in 2009 and 2010 in the regular LSU/Arkansas time slot on CBS. I kinda like the move because I assume we will get another Saturday game and the game will most likely be played later in the day or possibly at night. The Friday games were not all that bad but I often wished the game was played later in the day to give the families time to get back from traveling for the holiday and it is hard to get up after eating Turkey all day the day before. More Tailgating now possible. http://blog.al.com/rapsheet/2009/04/iron_bowl_to_be_played_on_cbs.html
i like this news if true. i never had a problem with it being friday but i had a problem with the time. i always thought they shoulda moved that game to fri night. nothing's on tv anyway then. now it's probably going to be a 2:30 cbs game although i'm not sure if that's when UF/FSU is. how about not put it on tv and give us another saturday night in death valley???:tigereye:
Could this be the 2nd game of a doubleheader? Or with ESPN's new coverage, could this be a night game on ESPN? Looking at last year's schedule, I didn't see any game that started after 6:00 eastern.
hope we stop playing on thet day. it is bad to try and make a high school playoff game after the LSU game,.
I glad to see they finally moved that Auburn game later. The way the rotation was for us was chit. We played them at home early then the next year they played here late. I always thought that early home game was a big advantage for them.
If CBS does not want to air a game between LSU and Arky on Friday there is no way we will play it on Friday. 2 others games are scheduled for that day. Nebraska and Colorado and Pitt/WV. LSU was forced to play on Fridays because CBS wanted the coverage. Most likely LSU will play on Saturday and with the new ESPN contract it could be picked up for any time that day.
