I seem to remember having to pull cards when I registered in 83.

Dang - I wouldn't have thought they were still in use that late - but they were probably newish when I started in '69 - they probably had to get 20 years out of 'em!

Without a doubt. We used them for at least a couple of years, right? Registered in the Assembly Center, then they changed it to the Field House.

Memories, light the corners of my mind . . .

I was a senior in High School in NO that year. Tulane beat us 14-0. Had to listen to this for a long time. On the interstate, the sign read I 10 - LSU 0.

Wasn't much memorable in my college days with football. It wasn't till my senior year that we actually made a bowl. Now, in grad school I'll never forget the game leading up to the Orange Bowl in 82. We played Florida State. All the grocery stores in town warned LSU that they had sold out of oranges. Quite an orange rain that night with a little mystical fog to boot.

    Details man, details.

I brought a date to an LSU game in '87...I had graduated HS and was serving active duty for a year in the USAF prior to starting at LSU in '88. She was the epitome of blonde. It was the tOSU game, and as we were leaving the stadium with friends, she stated...and I quote..."I hate ties...they're so close".
