I went thinking not many people knew there would be a raffle today and I was about #500 in line waiting to sign up. I actually put in 3 forms for the raffle. There was at least 600 people there and it was a blast. The guy from the AllState commercials was there, the one that passes out and crashed into the Bowden Statue. I am stil a little buzzed but that is alright since I WON!!!!!!!! 2 tickets section 541 row #2 seats 11 and 12. The AllState guy handed me the tickets and gave me a hug. He is extremely funny. WHOOoooo!!!!!!!!
You lucky SOB. The only tickets I ever won were to the Baton Rouge Symphony. But I still claim that as a loss.
I guess this is your lucky year!! http://www.tigerforums.com/tigers-den/64831-bcs-ticket-notification.html Or you may be a member of the LA Legislature.
You dog! I was there, heard your name but just now made the connection. I was around #40 in line at about 10:30 am, I stayed till the last drawing, no luck though
I am assuming you will be trying again tomorrow, so I will see you there. My wife and friends are going to try again and I told them I will only fill out one form to give them a better shot this time. Some of the people were really nice after I won but others were very bitter. A few guys were saying what are you still doing here in a angry tone. I looked at them a smiled and said why would I do that when I am still drinking and I have 2 more stubs in the drawing.:hihi: BTW, the face value were $250 compared to the $175 provided by TAF.
So were all of the people just hanging out in the parking lot? If so, then how were you able to hear the announcements?
People were everywhere inside and out and the AllState guy from the commerical would walk into each room with his megaphone with the announcements at first. Then they made us of Walk-ons PA system toward the end of the day. Edit: The actual raffle took place outside in the parking lot.
I think I will head back today. A lady at a table next us won the one of the last drawings, she stayed till the end also. I gotta work tonight but one must have priorities.
