Last night Gary Johnson said the current administration's understanding of free speech was sophomoronic and myopic. That is why I am voting for him.

Clearly they were trying to ameliorate the anti American protests in 26 countries by mentioning that the film was not approved, not representative of American thought, and not very good. They started damage control over the film fallout before the Libya incident.

I saw that this Pakistani girl who is speaking out for education for women is now in the hospital after being shot in the head by the Taliban for promoting secularism. No word on whether the Obama administration thinks she is reprehensible.

You are just being absurd now, it is in no way similar. The US is a total bystander in this Pakistani infighting.

Unlike you, focused on yourself, Obama is focused on the enemy.

US President Barack Obama has termed the life threatening attack on 14-year-old Pakistani girl Malala Yousufzai by Taliban as reprehensible, disgusting and tragic and has offered assistance to Pakistan in this regard, his spokesman said.

“I know that the President found the news reprehensible and disgusting and tragic. We strongly condemn the shooting of Malala Yousafzai,” Jay Carney, the White House Press Secretary, told presspersons yesterday.

Directing violence at children is barbaric, it’s cowardly and our hearts go out to her and the others who were wounded, as well as their families, he said.

First, the US government was not being accused of responsibility for the girls political activity. Second, Pakistani assassins and Pakistani victims are not affected by American Free Speech laws. Third, Obama and Clinton found the assassins to be reprehensible, not the victim.

It was a silly attempt at comparison. Your argument has degenerated into sillyness.
