yesterday in new york obama spoke to the UN and called the youtube mohammad thing crude and disgusting. i dont agree with that and he speaks for barack, not martin. of more immediate interest is this new subway poster thing. some woman has paid to put up posters in the train stations that are pro israel and basically call palestinians "savages". and the city is in an uproar over it. people are defacing the posters and causing a ruckus and now cops have to step it up in the stations. now i am all for free speech, and nothnig pleases me more than a criticism of islam, but i dont need goddamn riots in the train stations. the mta didnt want to put up the posters but the lady won in federal court. yunno where i stand, i think jews are fucking morons, and arabs are mindless savages, so i have no dog in this fight. i know the american right is very pro israel and that is crazy, but yunno, whatevs. i dunno where all this is heading. the battle between modern secular free speech and religious persecution being claimed left right and center, and its all pretty fascinating. i cant imagine these subway posters lasting more than 24 hours, especially in queens where i live. i will not be suprised at all if the local news tomorrow is all about fights in the stations. people are nuts to throw punches when it comes to this stuff. http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2...rested-for-defacing-anti-jihad-subway-poster/
Most people are sheep, mindless and easy to manipulate (I used to be one and I am so happy that I finally woke up!), which is why all it takes to get people bent out of shape is a contrary opinion to their preprogramed (brainwashed) way of thinking. I love to see to opposed religious groups go at each other. I always hope that they will mutually annihiliate each other.
I am a mindless religious drone, but I never get angry when people criticize my faith. If it is funny I will laugh along.
And Obama doesn't need riots in our consulates. Glad to see that you've come around. Free speech is not the only issue when inflammatory expression endangers public safety.
The Pope arrives in heaven, where St. Peter awaits him. St. Peter asks who he is. The Pope: "I am the pope." St. Peter: "Who? There's no such name in my book." The Pope: "I'm the representative of God on Earth." St.Peter: "Does God have a representative? He didn't tell me ..." The Pope: "But I am the leader of the Catholic Church ..." St. Peter: "The Catholic church ... Never heard of it ... Wait, I'll check with the boss." St. Peter walks away through Heaven's Gate to talk with God. St. Peter: "There's a dude standing outside who claims he's your representative on earth." God: "I don't have a representative on earth, not that I know of ... Wait, I'll ask Jesus." (yells for Jesus) Jesus: "Yes father, what's up?" God and St. Peter explain the situation. Jesus: "Wait, I'll go outside and have a little chat with that fellow." Ten minutes pass and Jesus reenters the room laughing out loud. After a few minutes St. Peter asks Jesus why he's laughing. Jesus: "Remember that fishing club I've started 2000 years ago? It still exists!"
Well the reason this is unique is that the government owns the stations. It's not comparable to the Muslim film. That privately made privately hosted. The question I am thinking about is what is allowed in the stations. Can I pay for posters that say Jews are dirty?
