What are you guys talking about? Spieth? Edit: Nevermind, just saw the full topic. Yes, the kid is good. No idea if he's' ready or not...carry on.
wouldn't you rather he get his first taste of this kind of pressure at a President's cup where we are 90 % likely to win, vs the Ryder cup next year on foreign soil? He has shown 100 % he can handle pressure down the stretch of late Sunday rounds as indicated by his birdie-birdie-birdie-eagle finish yesterday (now guaranteed a top 30 finish no matter what happens next tournament which puts him into the tour championship), the tournament he ended up winning in which he holed out from the bunker on 18 and won in a playoff, the other tournament he fought so hard in that he lost in a playoff (he made a 30 foot downhill breaking putt to extend that playoff). So handling pressure is not something I would be concerned with regarding Spieth.
@islstl never mind, just saw Presidents cup and for some reason thought Ryder. No doubt he has to take this kid. He looks to have all the tools and age on his side. Yeah this is a no brainer.
Off topic but in the golf thread at least. Can someone grab Ricky Fowler by the scruff of the neck and teach that boy how to dress!! Good grief, I like the kid but man he is hard to look at.
