N cave? What is he caving to? Media pressure that he wear a mask? No! Liberals bashing him for not wearing a mask? No! The demand by leftist that he set a good example to all of his supporters? No! Why does it have to be “he caved”?. No, I don’t think he “caved”. That’s just your TDS interpretation of things .... cause ya know, you hate Trump, and so your whole mind set is tainted by such.
As I’ve said before the true sufferers of TDS are his minions like you. I asked a question based on comments about how everyone else who changed their mind about masks. So if he didn’t cave what made him change his mind and begin encouraging mask wearing? As I see it he made a good decision to change his position on wearing masks. If he’s acknowledging science and medical recommendations that’s a good thing. Will you follow his lead?
trump was playing to his base and he reads the same polls you do.... i suspect internal polling decided this for him.... the question is how it's being portrayed.... a gotcha moment or trump encourages america to wear masks since new data has come out, etc., etc. (which he did in April while pelosi was inviting folks to mingle together in chinatown, but i digress) again, it depends on which 'news' you consume
Check Sweden. Science isn't clear. Its political because masks became political. Its really as simple as that. Masks are symbolic. Nothing more. Over 40% of US deaths are nursing homes. Has nothing to do with masks.
Really?? Check Japan where masks are ubiquitous and they have the best results even though much more densely populated.
Correlations does not equal causation. Check Japan's BMI county index vs ours. Over 40% of Americans are Obese. https://www.worldobesity.org/news/statement-coronavirus-covid-19-obesity Would seem closing McDonalds would do more than masks..... https://www.bbc.com/news/health-52561757 In a study of nearly 17,000 hospital patients with Covid-19 in the UK, those who were obese - with a body mass index (BMI) of more than 30 - had a 33% greater risk of dying than those who were not obese. A separate study of NHS electronic health records found a doubling of the risk of dying from Covid-19 among people who were obese. If other health conditions linked to obesity such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes were also taken into account the risk would be even higher, the researchers said. And a study of critically ill patients in UK intensive care units found that nearly 34.5% were overweight, 31.5% were obese and 7% morbidly obese (a total of 73%), compared to 26% with a healthy BMI.
No doubt those obesity numbers are important and valid. So compare Sweden and Japan’s numbers. How do they correlate with death rates? If you want to make an accurate comparison do that.
Good data and one that should scare many here. I see so many morbidly obese people wandering around McDonalds etc that I worry for our future. I think it’s also one of the factors in our now decreasing longevity rate in the US. It’s also one of the MANY reasons I’m against the various nationalized health care proposals the Democrats make.
