For what it's worth Cam Cameron is visiting his home. Les and Cam actually. So while McElwain is getting ready to be obliterated by Alabama, LSU is gonna make a final push for Franks.
I think he sticks with Florida, but it's worth a shot. I hope they're going after some others very hard.
I read that Franks is not happy about Florida visiting with the Georgia commit Eason. He's ranked ahead of Franks. I'm sure Leslie will use that to his advantage. So if Eason signs with UF, good chance Franks leaves. But why on earth he would even consider coming to LSU is beyond me. LSU is a place where QBs come to die.
Mettenberger is the sell. Look what we were able to do with Zach, he was successful. The interesting thing is, @bhelmLSU says he was tied to Cam. I'd love to be a fly on the wall inside Franks' home. What are they telling him about Cam's future at LSU? Is there a chance Cam could get a 1 year extension? Or is he gone after NSD?
I'd bet the house Cam stays. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if there are no changes to the staff at all, unless Wilson or Orgeron get a better job somewhere else.
I'm sure they are telling him Cam is staying. Miles won't make any changes to his staff til after signing day, unless coaches leave for other jobs before them. If he's smart, which is debate able, he doesn't change anything to keep this incoming class in tact.
we got a small opening. The time to strike is now. its worth a shot at least. ... Franks, a 4-star QB from Wakulla High School (Crawfordville, Fla.), told SEC Country what he thought of Eason visiting Florida. "Not good," Franks said. ... When asked if Franks is having second thoughts with his commitment to Florida, he chose to not answer the question. "I don’t have any other comments on that," he said.
If they can pull Franks and the top recruiting class would everyone be willing to give them one more chance? What's there to lose? It's not like we are going to see massive changes anyway.
It will be exciting to see Frank's hand the ball to the RBs. Maybe Les would let him pitch it to an RB every once in a while
