I would say this is an open forum and get your head out of the sand. Not a good day, but spin away.

I have been through everything from the Pepsodent Paul years, the Hallman years, and the Dinardo years. LSU has moved from the "please sign with us" to the "we will let you know" years. If the ones in power decide that they would rather sign guys from other states than the homegrown, there is a reason. They are going to sign the best they can. They are pros at their profession. Their future depends on their being correct. And those are big salaries. Fail too often, and they are looking for high school jobs. If the number three star qb from Utah was more impressive to the coaches than the number one in La., who do you go with? I know there are other varirables, but remember, these guys are betting their liviehood on this.

Yeah, you're right, not a good day.

We got a commit from Kwon Alexander, one of the best OLBs in the nation (was #1 rated OLB by ESPN before his injury, still rated #29 overall. Rivals had him as 77th best prospect before injury as well).

We lost a very talented DE who has the scruples of a used car dealer, lying to the coaching staff up until the last minute, playing the game Texas wanted him to play all last week (even switched his home visit from Mack Brown to Les Miles to keep up the charade).

Let's see, who do I want to represent LSU?

It's rhetorical, in case you're too clueless to figure it out.

Sorry, that's nuts. If you are a 'Stars' guy we got 2 4Star players from TX, and one each from Fla, GA, and Ala; not Dinardo like if you even know what that means.

Oh, and by the way; Saban won his first championships with Dinardo players; not his own.

From way out west,.. it seems like a pretty solid class for LSU, and you guys should feel great about reeling in Kwon Alexander.

Hey Giant, looking at your top 10 players and I notice they are from 7 states spread out from HI, to OH, to TX. That's national recruiting. Good Job.

Thanks, it looks like one of Oregon's best classes ever.

    I'm already for Arkansas State
    ----------

    From today's Chip Kelly press conference;

....The class comes without the use of a recruiting service. Kelly when asked if he used one nationally or regionally, said no.

"I'm not going down that road again," he said with a smile....

I love me some Frank. Telling it how it is. Especially Rivals talent scouts. They just don't work hard in LA. Scout send multiple guys all around the state consistently. I would give the nod to Rivals on National Rankings.

Dinardoesque? Wow, Dinardo brought the magic back. His classes won many games and even a Championship. Plenty of NFL talent.

Just got back from a pretty fun day at the Bash. Surprised by the new setup but made it more comfortable. I even got a shout out from Jordy Culotta on the mic. It was subtle..haha

As for the signees and ones that didn't. Really surprised by Davis. Last I heard Davis cancelled his in-home with Brown and had Les over instead. His family was decked out in LSU gear and mama was hugging on Miles. Heard they had a blast all night. Miles said they had no clue. I suspect some feelings were hurt with Kwon announcement. He likely felt he was headed to DE no matter what at LSU with the LB class.

Feel we are only missing one piece next year. A tall WR... Only real hope is if Armand Williams somehow has a great off season. If not we will need one of the two from Avery or Dural to help. I am leaning toward Dural.

2013 is going to have more special talent but we will be more selective and have a smallish type class.

2014 is a really good and deep class.

Thompson's tape impressed the hell out of me. Passable ball skills and he hits with ferocity. Might be physical enough to shift down to the WLB ala Harry Coleman, but he's definitely seems athletic enough to stay in the secondary.

I like this, when a good staff does its homework, good things happen.
