I think it was Parso who made a comment about having posters framed and the expense. Thought I’d share a cheaper route.

I’ve purchased some posters of the Advocate front page in the past. They’re kinda special cause the day after every LSU game, we have a ritual at our house. We cut out the front page of the sports section and tape up the game pic for each week. Anyway, we looked and looked at hobby lobby, frame stores, etc. and couldn’t find frames to match them.

It finally dawned on me to hit a newspaper frame search and bingo. Their a unique dimension and even all of them aren’t the same. I found these for around $25.00 each and though they came unassembled, they weren’t hard to put together.

    Here’s what they look like:

Just wanted to throw it out for anyone who may be interested. It’s a cheaper route, and you can still have quality.

If/when you open the link above, you'll see the frame classifications. Put your cursor over any of the categories and the products they offer in that type will appear to the right.

Things you may want to consider when framing your newspaper:

The measurements, obviously, are very important.

No, but you did make me think for a second, wondering what you could have mistaken for that. Those are in our outdoor kitchen and though it's connected to our house with a roof/patio between, I have to walk outside to get to it.

It was funny though, fool.

TB, it never dawned on me that I'd be an even uglier woman than I am a man- thanks for that image dude. :bncry:

Might I suggest taking a little trip to the Pastime Rest and Lounge and checking out the framed newspapers showcased on the walls for all the LSU moments dating back as far as I can remember. Might help. Yes, that's the Pastime on my avator.

Which item was it that you found on that site for $25? I have a few newspapers I'd like to frame but haven't found a good cost-effective option yet. The frames in your photos are pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, but I can't find them on that website. Thanks!

I don't remember the actual site I'd used and just provided one for example. If you search, there are many. Hit a search for "Newspaper poster frames" and you'll get a bunch.

I like the ones loco got at Wal Mart and had never seen them.
