Considering it is the national championship game, you are strongly discrediting Coach Tressel as a coach if you don't think they showed up. They came and played, Florida had a better game plan and executed more. There is nothing OSU could have done to win that game the way UF played. Right so by your own admission, VT's offense was not that great. We took advantage of their QB issues and lack of running game and we pounded them. They showed up, but their offense wasn't much to begin with anyways. As a result, their defense suffered from being on the field the whole game.
Florida played the perfect game and tOSU played by far their worst of the year. If both teams had played their best game of the season it would have been one of the best football games ever, and I don't know who would have won. Tressel deserves much of the blame, but the players had no intensity. On any other night it would have been a great game, much as I expect the LSU game to be. Tressel is a great coach who had a bad bowl game last year, failed to make any adjustments and the players came out fat and happy...I don't expect the same will happen this year.
