And not politics this time, but our own JJ. Biased writing IMO. 12 "likes" from Bama fans. LSU Tigers QB Jordan Jefferson shows no remorse - College Football News | FOX Sports on MSN On a lighter note, a funny end to SI's Stewart Mandel's mailbag (and we're more tired of it than he is; also note the fine spelling skillz of the Bama fans): I was wondering if any of you sports writers realize that BAMA won every statistical category when they played for the first time in Tuscaloosa expect for the one on the scoreboard and yet "all" of you talk about how LSWho beat BAMA. Score wise, yes they did, but on the stat sheet they DIDN'T. For that very reson you are WAY off on your BCS Championship prediction. BAMA will Rolllllll into New Orleans on Jan 9th ranked #2 and ROLLLLLLLLL out National Champions!!!!! -- Michael, Corinth, Ala. I couldn't wait for the first game to get here because I so badly wanted to see the teams play. I can't wait for the second one to get here to put an end to 36 days of this. Laughable how bad these predictions were. Alabama, Oklahoma headline Crystal Ball staff predictions - NCAA Football - SI.com Such as this SI gem: ["Flop" is a strong word, but LSU was a sure bet to lose two games even before the suspensions. A top five ranking is a hilarious stretch.] Hilarious indeed. Can't stop laughing.
Bama fans seem to forget that we didn't just beat them on the scoreboard but we outrushed them as well...:insane:
Na, they don't forget.. They ignore. I had a guy at work telling me that weren't getting Gunner Keil; that he was going to go to Bama regardless of the fact that he committed to LSU. His response to the commitment was "He hasn't signed the paper yet.." I told him they should be more concerned about getting someone who could kick FG's.
That Faux News writer is a graduate of none other than.... ...wait for it... ...Vanderbilt! Can't help but think that some sour grapes might be in play because we landed Kiel and Vandy did not.
Gumps need to get their story straight. Just yesterday Kiel was an arrogant, no-good scrub who couldn't hang with top HS QBs. You'd think they wouldn't want a guy like that around their program.
Stats are for losers. How many LSU games in the past years did we do the same thing saying that LSU had the stats but lost the game. Those Gumps in Bamasux Land are going nuts that their team lost the game and even Finebaum has not pontificated a sure Bamasux win. "Let all the poision from within the dirt come forth" I Claudus
Right you are my Cajun friend. How many times has this happened in close games? 90% of the time turnovers and special teams play determine the outcome. But what matters is the final score:LSU231:
I hate to confuse folks. The Bama folks only considered yardage as a stat. Turnovers were not part of the equation. Also, special teams is rarely included in the stats that fans consider (like field position being flipped because of Wing).
