He was their best blocking in the I formation, and their big back. Lacy was still THE guy, but Fowler was coming up on him. They are deep at RB, but not as deep as we are. I think this helps our chances, but at the same time I wish him well in his recovery. Tusk, your thoughts on it?
Different kind of running back and was doing a nice job in the I-formation as the lead back. Good blocker, with size and deceptive speed. TJ Yeldon was and is the second back off the bench, behind Lacy. Injuries always change things up, but Dee Hart is a unique back that needs touches and didn't seem to be getting them due to the rotation. Freshman, Kenyan Drake (#17) came in the game and broke off a long run against WKU for a TD late. All in all Fowler will be missed as much for his blocking as anything else. But all our backs have talent, like LSU and struggling for carries can eventually be discouraging. On a positive note, you hope these young guys take full advantage of the football mantra, NEXT.
Another important mantra....put your heart and soul into your work, do your absolute best and let the chips fall where they may. We faces the same situation on the OL when Faulk went out. Josh D seems to have adopted the above mantra.
LSU n Bama should worry about the rest of the SEC until we meet again. We all have some quality games before Nov 3rd. While there is a gap between LSU/Bama and the rest, this in no way means we can't lose a game. Miss State is putting up VERY good numbers on O & D and LOL Piss looks to have a Decent O. Not to mention we play UF, SC, & ATM before Bama.
Means nothing. Little Mister Shoe Lifter will have his team ready to go, no matter who's in the backfield.
Bama is deep like we are, so it may not be very noticeable. It certainly isn't along the lines of when Knile Davis went down last season.
I think it would be more like if JC Copeland went down, rather than Spencer Ware. It limits a little bit of what they are able to do with a big lead blocker, but otherwise, they have plenty of backs to split carries.
I agree with LSUPride123. However we are not on the team, nor do we have ANY impact on its result or game preperation. We are just fans and alumni. So it doesnt hurt for us to speculate. But I think we are kidding ourselves if we think the only tough game LSU has is Bama. There are MANY games ahead that LSU better strap up for including Florida, USC, and A&M, Miss State. All of those LSU could very easily lose if they dont prepare and play well. LSU is a season defining game for every one of those teams. They are going to do all they can to beat LSU. They also have fans, and top recruits, and fast players, and great facilities. So for me I will worry about Bama in Nov. As for the question nothing. I was at the Mich vs Bama game. Yeldon is the next great back at Bama...
