The thing about AD....1974 was the last year they took the vote prior to the end of the season and for him that was before the comeback win against the irish. We went into halftime losing 24-6. Coach McKay had told the team in the locker room at half that AD would run the kickoff back for a TD. On the opening kickoff of the 2nd half, AD had a 102-yard kickoff return helped spur the 55-24 comeback. notre dame still hates his ass. He had some crazy skills. He had a 42.5-yard average on kickoff returns his senior season. He also had 5 National Championships during his time there, 2 in football and 3 in baseball. He's the only player in USC history to start for both a NC football and baseball team. Ricky was one of the nicest human beings you would ever want to know. I think he was underrated. Sam Bam really twisted Bear's head. Great individual.
Charlie did win the Heisman. Frankly, OJ should have won it twice. The bruin's Beban won that year despite the fact that we beat them 21-20.
Sam as Herschel Walker in 1980. Georgia beat George Rogers South Carolina team head to head an Walker had a better game, better season stats and a National Championship
Yeah, I know CW won. When I was referencing OJ and other USC backs, CW was the one I was thinking of. He had a monster season that year.
And remember Marcus Allen played FB when White was the RB at USC. What a load they had at RB back in the day.
Yep but we almost beat them in Tiger Stadium. Played them off their feet until a damn zebra threw a bullshit flag.
