This needs to be discussed and more... https://www.seccountry.com/louisian...tte-calls-out-lsu-for-taking-mac-team-lightly
Thanks for posting this. I just now referenced it on the "After Week 5" thread, and couldn't remember where I had seen it. Looks like the reporter from The Advocate tweeted some of Fournette's postgame comments. Lack of intensity and not taking things seriously reflects back to coaching. If this is the case, the coaching staff needs to kick some guys' asses and maybe bench some guys.
I said yesterday in the game thread that you have to want to kick everybody's ass whether it be Michigan or eastern Michigan... He's just speaking on that and telling the supposed team leaders to take this shit seriously...
You know, every time I hear Fournette speak I like him more. He is creeping into my favorite Tigers of all time top 3.
It's good to hear this. Fournette is asserting himself as a team leader and I hope this lights a fire under the team. Right now, he's the main reason LSU is winning.
Do not buy that the Tigers are not pumped up to play. The problems are the same every week. The Dline is very average at best, and cannot get any pass rush on there own. The Oline is not very good at pass blocking. Harris throws the ball way to hard, and not very accurately. It is very hard for WR's to catch fast balls across there bodies. Granted they do have a few throws in a game that should be caught. We will have a winning record this year, with five games being very hard to win. Great Dline recruits are coming next year.
I hope these guys are done "playing and joking around in practice". When I watched the difference between how Georgia entered the stadium and how Bama entered the stadium saturday, it was safe to say the game was already over. This is business fella's, save the fun for the night of the post game. The next morning, its back to WORK. These boys have some serious growing to do.
The "playing and joking around in practice" has me concerned. If this is the case, the coaching staff needs to kick some ass and bench some guys. I understand that this should be fun to an extent; however, you're absolutely correct, this is a business, too.
Miles should've been the one saying that...unless all that clowning around at practice was behind his back.
