When I look back over the years at the asshats who declined to receive their Oscar, they never looked cool or interesting or bucking the system. They looked like idiot asshats and the beauty contest continued on. The thing is, while the media really dictates the winner for the most part, all former winners are voters too. It wouldn't reflect well on the person, the school, the fans, or anyone really to do such a thing. If someone really felt that way, then decline the trip to NY altogether, not show up and be a media whore. And I guarantee if it was YOUR guy in the mix, you'd want him to win and accept, not decline and walk off.

LF was on the cover of espn the mag, SI, and every other magazine and a dead ass lock in vegas for the heisman 2/3s into the season. the second guy wasnt even close and henry wasnt in the mix. ODB gets more pub than eli manning and LSU gets touted along the way. Les Miles and SVP seem like best friends and Miles goes on all the espn shows a couple times a year. they all love him and lsu. as does gary danielson. the LSU woe is me bullshit is nauseating. lsu is one of the most overly covered teams in the country. if you went to USL you would kill yourself due to the hate. which is part of the reason we were ranked 2nd. exposure.
Are you from here? I'm curious how you ended up on an LSU board, was it because of the animosity between USC and LSU from 03 and beyond? If I had to guess I would say you aren't from Cali but moved there from here, because I think I have read some things you posted that made me get the sense you were from here. I don't know.
