    I hate to see a senior flunking out. Usually if they make through their sophomore year, they can cut it academically.

    I don't know this young man personally. But, it is quite possible that he has a reading disorder, which has nothing to do with intelligence or academic ability. I've seen very bright kids who could barely read S-T-O-P.

    I believe Mo is dyslexic, and who knows how old he was when it was diagnosed? My 2nd grader was diagnosed last year. She's very smart, but couldn't learn to read to save her life. Fortunately, she's in Scottish Rite's dyslexia program at her school now--the youngest diagnosed student in her school. But for students who are diagnosed in middle school or later, reading may never come naturally.
