I understand where you're coming from. I'm glad we won but it was sloppy and there are obvious things that need to be fixed. BUT LSU has been a second half team in the past and that trend definitely showed up tonight. I'm not too excited about the qb situation, lee has more career ints than tds, and Jefferson is pretty inconsistent. It will take at least another 2 season to get the qb position straightened out, hopefully Ryan Rivers will be the answer.

Vandy last year (2-10 overall, 0-8 in the SEC)

    Vanderbilt 45 Western Carolina 0
    LSU 23 Vanderbilt 9
    Miss. State 15 Vanderbilt 3
    Vanderbilt 36 Rice 17
    Ole Miss 23 Vanderbilt 7
    Army 16 Vanderbilt 13
    Georgia 34 Vanderbilt 10
    South Carolina 14 Vanderbilt 10
    Georgia Tech 56 Vanderbilt 31
    Florida 27 Vanderbilt 3
    Kentucky 24 Vanderbilt 13
    Tennessee 31 Vanderbilt 16

I think we can safely assume Vandy is what they were last year (and pretty much what they've always been, with a few rare exceptions)

Largest margin of victory over Vandy by an SEC school in 2009: 24 points. By Georgia and Florida (with Tebow). We just matched that.

    Double standard?

Come on guys, Vandy does this to everybody, every year! They "valiantly hang tough" for 2.5 to 3.5 quarters before superior depth wears them down. This game is no exception. Yet we're "horrible, awful, the worst team ever."

Did Jefferson make some horrible throws out there tonight? No doubt, I said so myself in the game thread. Did the O-line struggle to get push in the first half and did the running game sputter as a result? Yes. Certainly not our greatest offensive performance.

But we won. On the road. In the SEC. Beating Vandy as bad as anyone else has beaten them in recent years.

Criticize the flaws, suggest where we can improve. But be fair.

Id like them to try a throw more than 5 yards with all the talented receivers they have

As soon as we play a GOOD Team, we're toast...

    Miss St.- better than Vandy.
West VA- prob. better than MS St. (still beatable)

We will lose in the Swamp.... I hope not....

Yeah, Arkansas couldn't either. And that was against ULM. wasn't it 7-0 in at half time, then 14-0 going into the 4th.

But the biggest thing that chapped my hide in the first half, is during the first series on 3rd and 1, we run the freakin option. Do our coaches not understand math. How does running behind the line of scrimmage 5 yards back help you pick up a 1 yard play. If you wanna screw around with the option that we have not been able to run in 3 years, don't do it on 3rd and 1, do it on 1st and 10.
