Come on man, help a brotha out. 44, fullback LSU, was it Steltz? Didn't Craig have a brother that played fullback for LSU?
Remember this kid vividly. In Bastrop's "glory" days of running 4A, they made an annual habit of running roughshod over Neville and Ouachita. The Ouachita rivalry got so bad that officials wouldn't let the two teams shake hands afterwards. Bastrop was so loaded in 2005-07 that by the 2nd half, really good teams like Neville and Ouachita were worn down and on their way to being blown out. ONE guy for Ouachita continued to bring it until his coach finally pulled him for fear of him getting hurt or causing a huge fight. Tyler Edwards. He played TE for them but lined up all over the place. Titanium tough and mean as a pit viper on the field. The Bastrop kids told stories of seeing him and other Ouachita kids in the mall and having a great time despite the talk of so-called beef. Those Bastrop kids, mostly black, called him a crazy-ass white boy and he loved it, lol. Lived up to it on the field. They loved his style of play and his approach to the game. He did move to FB for LSU and played a good bit but he also was academically ineligible one year. RIP!
I can't help but wonder about depression related to TBI in a serious athlete who played a collision sport for years.
