Unlike most of the Saints' history, current management has done a good job with the draft, undrafted FAs, UFAs, trades, etc. I noticed Reggie Bush hasn't done much in Miami and Jamaal Brown had a huge role in the Redskins loss to a lowly Cowboys team. I'm wondering how other former Saints are playing. We seem to be releasing players at the right time and Bush and Brown are two good examples. Any others? Any mistakes we've made...not counting releases due to escalating salary?
Hadn't noticed this thread earlier, PT. A few..... Scott Fujita, doing OK with the Browns, 15 tkl, 8 assists through 4 games Charles Grant, not in the league Mike Bell, played for Philly and Cleveland last season, last seen on Detroit's roster, but nfl.com does not list him currently with any team. Lynell Hamilton....no one picked him up after we cut him in the pre-season
Almost started a new thread, but this note is sort of a tie-in, as it looks like Payton may soon have a decision to make. Chris Ivory is ready to go: New Orleans Saints RB Chris Ivory all ready to go: Sean Payton - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com
Actually, they released Bell two weeks ago to bring Will Smith out of suspension. Then they put him on the practice squad.
