Has started every game since Saffold went out with an injury (wk 2) for the St. Louis Rams and has quietly done a great job.

Shut down JJ Watt yesterday helping the Rams to beat the piss out of the Texans.

Coming into this game, Watt averaged 1 sack, 1.5 hits on the quarterback, 3.5 hurries, and 5 defensive stops per game.

Yesterday, matched up against Joe Barksdale, Watt managed no sacks, no hurries, no defensive stops, and only one hit on the quarterback.

Awesome season for the big fella.

Great job. When you dominate JJ Watt, you have made it big time.

Earlier this year he stymied Justin Babin of the Jags and in his 1st start last year he shut down Clay Matthews, Jr. (!)

Easy to overlook the big fella b/c of his position (RT) but he is definitely putting in work.

We were at the LSU Recruiting Bash when Joe signed with LSU, after watching film on him, I said, if it was me, I'd move him to OT. My buddy says, are you nuts, he's a top 5 DT. I told him, DT we have, this kid can play OT, an they are too hard to find.

Yep. He can play LT & RT. I remember when he signed, too. He was highly recruited as a DT out of Cass Tech in Detroit. Got his chance after Ciron Black at LSU and was drafted in the 3rd rd to the Raiders by Hue Jackson & Al Davis. He was cut after Hue was forced out & after Al Davis died. 2 teams put in for him when he hit the waiver wire....NYG & StL. St Louis had a higher waiver priority & ended up stealing him.

If he keeps this up I could see him making the Pro Bowl.

Also got the game ball earlier this month when he shut down Jason Babin.

I will be voting for him for the Pro Bowl.
