Les was recruiting up in New York, went to see one of the better players in the state. After the game, the star play had his worst game ever. The LSU Asst. Coach said, "He just had an off night!" Dale replied, "Nope, the kid on the other team shut him down!"
Dale went over to the other kid and offered him a spot at LSU. That shutdown player was Greg "Cookie Man" Cook. RIP
