Clark suffers from sickle cell trait, which can cause complications during extreme exercise conditions and hypoxia from high altitudes. In 2007, during a game against the Denver a Mile high stadium, he had to be rushed to the hospital in the middle of the game to have his spleen and gallbladder removed due to Denverss mile high altitude. Since recovering from his crisis in 2007, Clark has been involved with sickle cell disease awareness, research, treatment and programming in Pitt. Since the 2007 game in Denver, the Steelers have played the Broncos in Denver twice (2009 on a MNF and 2010 in preseason game), and in both instances sat an otherwise healthy Clark for his own health, despite having been cleared by doctors to be able to play in the thin mile-high air in Denver without any complications. The Steelers will play in Denver again in the wild card round of the 2011 playoffs, and the Steelers have not yet indicated whether Clark will be permitted to play. Remember Ryan was a CFA, undrafted, the New York Giants signed him out of LSU. Undreafted because many said he was too small, too slow, too everything. All he does is make plays. Best of luck to him..... :tigereye:
Best of luck to him. The good news for his team is they won't need him. Tebow can't hit a tire with a football, let alone throw it through the hole. I'm not even sure if he could hit the truck the tire was on.
Isn't there a commercial on tv about Tebow, where he's shown flipping a humongous tire? Those are the tires that he practices throwing the ball through...from 10 yards back...and he's still around 30%
I've heard some recommendations that all he needs to do is go across the field and ask Tebow for healing
